AG Elektrische Impedanztomographie

Thema dieses Forschungsbereiches ist die Weiterentwicklung und problem­spezifische klinische Anwendung des Prinzips der Elektrischen Impedanz­omographie (EIT). Ziel dieser nicht invasiven Tomographie ist eine verbesserte Beurteilung des akuten Krankheits­verlaufs der Lunge direkt am Krankenbett. Die Aktivitäten umfassen im methodisch innovativen Bereich die Verbesserung der tomo­graphischen Bildrekonstruktion, der klinisch relevanten Informationsaufbereitung sowie der apparativen Optimierung der EIT. Im applikativen Bereich wird neben der bereits etablierten Darstellung lokaler Lungenventilation eine Erweiterung auf die Erfassung lokaler Lungenperfusion und pathologischer Veränderungen des Lungengewebes vorangetrieben. Die Arbeitsgruppe ist für Forschungszwecke mit modernem Equipment (Spirometrie, Bodyplethysmographie, Impulsoszillometrie) ausgestattet, um standardisierte Unters­uchungs­ver­fahren zur Lungenfunktions­prüfung parallel zu EIT-Untersuchungen durchführen zu können.

  • Erstellung von numerischen Modellen der elektrischen Eigenschaften der Gewebe im Thorax
  • Langzeitmonitoring der Veränderungen im Lungengewebe während künstlicher Beatmung
  • Klinische Validierung von nicht invasiven Verfahren zur Beurteilung Perfusionsverteilung in der Lunge mittels EIT
  • Anwendung künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) zur Erfassung von beginnenden Lungengewebsschädigungen
